New release v1.04 - build and test Series 60 and UIQ simultaneously! |

 | Welcome to Penrillian's latest version of Symbian OS Unit (v1.04). Our latest release now enables you to build and test Symbian applications for both Series 60 and UIQ simultaneously. It continues to provide a complete environment for fully automated building and testing of your Symbian projects by using the open source tool, CruiseControl. See the example project and instructions within the download. Enjoy! |
Known issues:
- This release only supports S60 3rd Edition and UIQ3. See previous versions of Symbian OS Unit for use with other platforms.
- There is a memory leak (1 byte), which occurs when the TS_ASSERT fails for the first time on Series 60 3rd Edition. After that there are no more leaks. This is because of User::Leave(), which leaks a single byte.
- Application icon is not displayed properly on Series 60 3rd Edition hardware.
- Section 1.2 of the Tutorial document states that the release doesn't provide support for UIQ, but it does.
- The diagram in section 1.4 of the Tutorial document is corrupted.
- The screenshots included in the Tutorial example are out of date in that they do not take into account of the extra initial test in the released source (testDummyTest()).
- Some sections of text in the Tutorial document only appear correct when viewed with 100% zoom. E.g. "__ASSERT_ALWAYS" can appear as " ASSERT ALWAYS"
